Alain Cabot The work that I present is based on a technique which brings about a reversal by transferring an image from one medium to another. The support from which I create my work is a photographic image printed on tracing paper and reworked. My creation takes shape from the hidden, empty side which is behind the image. The first act of creation is this action of showing the reverse side of the image: the photo printed on tracing paper is thus stuck upside down on the canvas and my work as an artist consists of making the reversed image reappear. Fugitive visions, chance encounters, illusions of life perceived in the daily realities of recognizable urban settings, where solitudes meet which intersect and which each evolve according to a different trajectory.

Association Artists at the Bastille AAB The revolt of the starfish Collective exhibition The revolt of the starfish Espace Commines, 17, rue Commines 75003 Paris From November 14 to 17, 2019 Starfish in the “eternebre” J I approached the theme of the starfish by crossing the universe of the film Starfish by Man Ray from 1928 (with Man Ray, Robert Desnos and Kiki de Montparnasse), itself visually translating a poem by Robert Desnos. This is the symbolic value that I retained: the starfish, this beauty that we try to grasp in a chaotic reality, in the “eternebre”, according to the word created by Desnos in his poem. I created a series of paintings in different formats where everyday scenes are illuminated by the light and the red color of the starfish. Sometimes, as already in Man Ray's film, the starfish appears imprisoned in a jar: extreme attempt to appropriate beauty or, at least, to grasp the meaning of what appears. The starfish represents revolt, a challenge that love can launch against the banality of everyday life: beauty against ugliness, the perfection of forms against the formless, emotions against insensitivity.

DIGITAL STREET WALL Victor Gelez Animation Center 1-3 Rue Victor Gelez, 75011 Paris https://www.facebook.com/alaincabot0558 Instagram: arturo201540 The latest series, Digital Street Wall, is available in different formats (60 x 60 x 5 cm, 50 x 50x10 cm, 30cm x 30cm, x10 and x5 cm), all using the same technique described below: • the starting point is a digital photo (photos taken by the 'artist) reworked on iPhone and computer; • the retouched photos are then printed on tracing paper; • a sheet of Wenzhou paper is glued to the entire surface of a canvas previously treated with white gesso; collages of tissue paper (primary colors) as well as recycled paper from posters recovered in the metro are glued to various places on the canvas; the photos reworked and printed on tracing paper are arranged and glued on the canvas; the canvas is thus ready for work with acrylic paint and highlights with white and black markers.
